I'm still alive, and so is the game!

YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT! THE GAME IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT AND IS NOT YET ABANDONED!

Sorry, everyone, if I've been quiet for the past two weeks and missed the update date.

Two weeks ago, my right ear got infected, which made me partially deaf. It’s been painful and inflamed, and I couldn’t get any coding done because of the discomfort. Then, about a week later, my other ear (the left one) got infected too! It’s been bleeding at night for three days now. I know I should really get it checked, but we just don’t have the money for a hospital visit right now. So yeah, I’m currently partially deaf in both ears (though thankfully, the right one is starting to heal).

Anyway, I’m taking it easy for now—making sure my body gets enough rest and hoping the antibiotics and ibuprofen will do their job.

BUT, while the progress is slow, I'm still developing the game!

I'm still fixing bugs here and there, and adding and changing some stuff, like the map:

Let me tell you, I'M REALLY BAD AT GUI DESIGN. But hey, surely I'll improve during the development of this game

There's also some addition to the story

"Well... that's depressing, not a single light in the city"

And oh my god! is Markus stalking someone???!!!!

"Another survivor!"

Also, there's a part of the tutorial where it says survivors have an "Affection meter", that’s now been changed to "Favorability meter." Apologies for my limited vocabulary, I didn’t realize that the word "affection" carries a deeper meaning. While there will be an option to romance any of the survivors, it will only happen if certain requirements are met. But for now, I’ll be focusing on the main route: the Annie route.

There's also some things I didn't mention, just look forward to it in the next update!

Anwho, that's all for today! I don't have an exact date of the next version update, But I can assure you, it will certainly happen this month!

Again, thanks you everyone for your continued support!

I really like the idea of being able to romance all the survivors! Is it maybe too big in scale though?

Yes, there are dedicated stories and endings for each of the survivors as well. However, there are some exceptions for characters like Casey (since she’s a kid), and another character who’ll appear later in the game.

The main difference between Annie and the other survivors is that the survivors are more prone to dying. While it is possible to finish the game without any survivors dying, any character can die if the player isn't careful.

And yeah, I won’t deny that the game might be a bit too big for me to handle alone, with all the multiple paths, endings, and everything in between. But when it comes to the story, most of the main plot is already written out, and I already know how it ends as well. I think the only thing currently slowing down development is me still fixing and improving the game mechanics. Once that’s done, coding the story should be the easy part.

And thank you very much for still supporting the game! I really appreciate it!
